Who is The Native Leaf?

Hi, we're Celia and Sara, of The Native Leaf. Together, using the finest of local natural resources, we are wild-crafting for your health.
Why buy from us? It's simple, really. Unlike large retailers, we make all of our products in small batches, using ingredients that we have handpicked from our very own Native Leaf garden. If we can't harvest it ourselves, we buy it from other trusted local vendors who share our business philosophy - keep it clean, keep it local, and keep it wild-crafted.
Who is Sara
I grew up in Madison, Virginia and now live with my husband, and 3 kids, in the mountains of Free Union, Virginia. I started Sari's Essentials in 2015 out of a desire to bring my family and others into greater health by using what God has provided in nature.
I hold certifications from Sacred Plant Traditions, in Charlottesville, Va., and Chestnut Grove School of Herbal Medicine, in Asheville, NC. Other homeopathic education includes natural skin care classes through The Elderberry in Charlottesville, and the Southeast Wise Woman Herbal Conference in Asheville, NC. I am also a certified doTerra distributor.
Who is Celia

I
grew up in Northern Virginia, and am now living at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Stanardsville, Virginia, with my husband, 3 kids, 3 dogs, 3 cats, 5 ducks, and 8 chickens. My passion for animals and naturopathic care led me to create Silver Tree. I am certified as a canine and equine massage therapist through Equissage, located in Roundhill, Virginia, in 2012, and have been a Veterinary Technician for over 20 years. I hold certifications from Chestnut Grove School of Herbal Medicine. Other homeopathic education includes courses through the Southeast Wise Woman Herbal Conference in Asheville, NC.  All of the products I use are organic or wildcrafted. I grow only organic herbs. Whatever herbs will not grow I purchase from Mountain Rose Herbs, an organic herb farm in the pacific Northwest. I then dry and macerate my herbs in Organic EVOO. All other products are natural and organic. There are no synthetic ingredients, no harsh chemicals, no petroleum based ingredients, and animal cruelty free (of course). All products are gentle, safe and effective.
